Peloton Pros And Cons

Peloton Pros And Cons

After Covid-19 took over the world, many things have changed. Among that long list of changes, is the constant cycle of being at home. People pre-pandemic were going to work everyday in the office, going to the gym, the store, etc. The list goes on and on. But, after the pandemic, many people are in their home more than out of it. This trend has made the sale and use of Pelotons skyrocket.

People realized going to the gym was no longer needed to get a great workout. Pelotons were a great way to get a class style workout done in their home, on their time. There are many pros to the pelotons, but also some cons.

Pros of Peloton

  1. Convenience

One of the biggest pros of a Peloton is being able to workout from home. As mentioned, people are at their house almost all day everyday. It is great because you don’t have to leave home to get a great workout in. You can jump on the bike before work, during work, or after work. Plus, no running to the gym or having to fit in a class time into your schedule. Also, you can go at your own pace, no worrying about what other people are doing in your class or being judged. Everything is up to you in this.

  1. Type of workouts

Being able to do a workout from home is great, but getting a great workout from home is even better. Peloton offers classes for beginners to experts, they can get super hard or stay as easy as possible. It can be so hard to motivate yourself when you’re home by yourself, and hard to make up a good workout. But with Peloton, there are thousands of workouts with many different types of trainers for you. There is something for everyone, try it out!

  1. Keeping Track Of your Workouts

A nice addition to Peloton is the computer on their bike. It will keep track of all of your different rides and workouts you have done. This way you are able to see all of your progress throughout the year and what you have accomplished.

Now that you have seen all of the pros to Peloton, the cons are important notes too.

Cons of Peloton

  1. Price

One of the biggest reasons people are hesitant to buy the Peloton is its price. The starting price of just the Peloton Bike can range from $1,500 – $2,500. On top of that, if you want to enjoy classes and an account every month it is around $40 monthly. This is a steep price, not only are you paying for the bike but you are spending almost $500 yearly on it. It is not for everyone, especially those trying to budget or those going for a cheap workout.

  1. Space

The Peloton is a big bike and often takes up a lot of room. This could be an issue for people living in an apartment or home without a lot of space. A Peloton is not always easy to store, and is not easy to move as the screen is easily breakable.

A Peloton has been a huge purchase of many Americans this year. It is a great way to get active without having to leave your own home. Although it has some cons, is it your next purchase of 2022?
